Bookbindery

One of history's most ancient artisan handicrafts... A well binded book, in the past, as well as today is a clear proof of the artisan's ability. We will create you personal binding as you can find only in the best traditional bookbinderies.

The first bookbindery was that of great-grandfather Jakob Kompatscher, founded in 1895, at "via del mercato vecchio", in Bressanone.
We can trace a semantic bridge between the bookbinder's work, and "religio". Both of these words actually contain the semantic roots of the word "to bind" something. Thanks to handed down traditional handicraft technics, great know-how and modern tecnolgy we were able to recover damaged books for libraries, archives and privat collectors.
